AAPPTec, a US manufacturer, offers several models of automated peptide synthesizers for peptide research and large-scale peptide production. These instruments can be used for customized peptide synthesis and peptide research. We have different models to cater to different needs, from producing a single peptide to 96 peptides simultaneously; from 1 mg of peptide to multi-kilograms of peptides.

Labmate™ Personal Manual Parallel Synthesizer is a compact, manually-operated parallel synthesizer that is ideal for research and process development. Users do not have to buy machine-specific accessories dedicated to a single instrument; they can use the same circulators and standard 14/20 glassware they already own, thereby lowering the cost of research and development, formulation, and other chemical or pharmaceutical applications. It is an excellent tool for developing synthetic methods for automated library production and high throughput synthesis.


The LabMate Personal Manual Parallel Synthesizer can be outfitted for a variety of volumes between 0.5 mL and 20 mL. Solution phase reactions can be performed in inexpensive glass vial reactors or in optional 14/20 glass jointed reactors for more demanding chemistry. Solid phase synthesis on resins or synthesis with solid-supported reagents can be performed utilizing the optional solid phase synthesis configuration.


Focus XC – Automated Peptide Synthesizer

FocusXCThe Focus XC is a compact, easy to use fully automated peptide synthesizer that will increase laboratory productivity. It can synthesize one, two, four or six peptides at a time for efficient high throughput synthesis. With 24 amino acid/reagent vessels, the Focus XC peptide synthesizer can be set up once and run all day or overnight without additional intervention.

The Focus XC peptide synthesizer is compact and does not require a hood, yet it can prepare peptides in a scale range of 0.05mmol to 5.0mmol, making it a powerful peptide production tool. The Focus XC peptide synthesizer is an excellent choice for discovery research, synthetic methods and chemical process development, and research and production.

All reagent bottles, amino acid vials and reactors are visible and reagent levels can be quickly verified at a glance. The software has standard Boc and Fmoc protocols or users can develop new chemistries and customized protocols. It’s simple, command technology makes the Focus XC peptide synthesizer an excellent learning tool for beginners, but it still has the flexibility for a wide range of chemistry, including synthesis of peptides, organic molecules and DNA.

 Apex 396 – Automated Peptide Synthesizer

Apex396The Apex 396 Automated Multiple Peptide Synthesizer is ideal for producing drug discovery libraries, alanine scans, epitope mapping and peptide parallel libraries. Synthesis scales range from 15 mg up to 2 grams.

The fully automated Apex 396 can prepare a single peptide, several peptides or even up to 96 peptides at once. The Apex 396 peptide synthesizer utilizes interchangable reactor assemblies in a range of reactor volumes for larger scale synthesis, or the same peptide can be prepared simultaneously in multiple reactors.

What can you expect from the Apex 396?

Higher Yields

Due to the unique design of the Teflon® reactor assembly, the resin stays at the bottom of the reactor, allowing it to stay in full contact with the reaction solution. Because of this, the resin does not stick to the sides of the reactor, thus the Apex 396 parallel peptide synthesizer produces higher yields of complete peptides with fewer deletion impurities.


The nitrogen-assisted bottom filtration quickly and thoroughly empties the reactor while maintaining an inert atmosphere, resulting in quick emptying. This process, in combination with fast delivery, minimizes the decomposition of the peptide resin due to extended contact with acid or base and allows quick, thorough and efficient washing of the resin to prevent impurities due to carryover.

Apex 396HT Peptide Library Synthesizer

The Apex 396HT Peptide Library Synthesizer is the ideal peptide instrument for drug discovery, SAR studies, receptor binding studies and other applications utilizing high throughput screening of peptide libraries. The Apex 396HT Peptide Library Synthesizer multiplies chemists' productivity. It can prepare an entire library of peptides in the time it would take to synthesize one peptide manually. The Apex 396HT automatically prepares and cleaves peptide libraries into standard 96 well titer plates ready for concentration and screening. The Apex 396HT Peptide Library Synthesizer can prepare up to 192 peptides and cleave them into standard 1 mL-well titer plates with approximately 0.05 mmol of crude peptide in each well.

Matrix 384

Matrix384The Matrix 384 parallel peptide synthesizer is the first fully automated ultra high throughput synthesizer for preparing peptide libraries. Synthesizing up to 384 different peptides at a time, the Matrix 384 parallel peptide synthesizer can rapidly prepare large parallel libraries of discrete peptides.

The four independently controlled reactor assemblies of the Matrix 384 parallel peptide synthesizer allow the chemist to vary temperature, reaction times and mixing speeds to optimize library syntheses. Additionally, each reactor is divided into four separate zones for further isolation of synthesis operations.
